Terms of use & license
These terms are set by Ofustech for the product Opus (software, website, license service, and related tools at opusbot.net). By creating an account, downloading, installing, purchasing, or using Opus in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Opus and delete any copies you have.
1. Changes to software or website
- Opus is provided on a best-effort basis. Interruptions, bugs, and functional changes may occur.
- We may change, suspend, or permanently discontinue any part of the service (including features, pricing, and availability) for any reason, with or without notice, and without full or partial refund, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
- We do not guarantee continuous, error-free, or secure operation of the software, website, or your account.
- Support, if offered, applies only when you use a current supported version of Opus.
2. Account access
- Licenses are for your personal use. You may use Opus on one active computer at a time. Access is bound to a hardware identifier (HWID). We may deny access from other machines.
- You must not share, sell, rent, lend, or transfer your account or license to others.
- Before purchasing, you should use the free trial (where available) to confirm that Opus works on your system and meets your needs.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse trials, share licenses, or attempt fraud.
3. License grant (EULA)
- Subject to these terms and a valid license period, Ofustech grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Opus for personal, non-commercial use on permitted open / private servers.
- You may not sell Opus or any part of it as part of another product.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code, except where mandatory law allows.
- You may not use Opus on official CipSoft servers.
- You may not circumvent license, HWID, or security controls.
- Purchasing Opus grants access to the software for a limited time only. When the license period ends, we have no further obligation to provide access.
4. Purchase & payments
- You agree to pay using the payment methods shown on the website (e.g. PayPal).
- We may refuse a sale or terminate service if we suspect fraudulent payment activity.
- Prices may change; the price shown at checkout applies to that purchase.
- License time is digital content / a digital service supplied immediately after successful payment (time is added to your account at once).
5. Right of withdrawal (EU / EEA consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance contracts. For digital content or digital services that begin immediately, that right ends when performance starts if you have expressly requested immediate access and acknowledged that you lose the withdrawal right once delivery begins.
- By completing a paid checkout on Opus, you request that we start the license service immediately and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once license time has been added to your account.
- A free trial is available so you can evaluate Opus before buying. Use the trial if you are unsure.
- Nothing in this section limits mandatory rights that cannot be waived under applicable law (for example if digital content is not as described).
6. Refunds
- After paid license time has been added and begun to run, purchases are generally final, subject to section 5 and mandatory consumer law.
- We are not obligated to issue refunds for change of mind, server rules, bans on any game server, feature expectations, or future version changes.
- We may, at our sole discretion, issue a full or partial refund (for example clear payment errors). Downtime or temporary unavailability does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
- Before opening a payment dispute or chargeback, you agree to contact us and attempt an amicable resolution. Unfounded chargebacks may result in account termination and recovery of costs.
7. No warranty — you assume all risk
Opus and the website are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uptime, or results.
- You are solely responsible for how you use Opus, including compliance with the rules of any game server you connect to.
- You accept all risk of program errors, data loss, account loss, character loss, bans, hardware issues, or interruption of play arising from use of Opus.
- Third-party scripts, profiles, or tools you run with Opus are at your own risk. We do not warrant their safety or behavior.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ofustech and its operators, suppliers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, game accounts, characters, items, or business interruption, arising from or related to Opus or the website — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Opus or these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Ofustech for the license period in which the claim arose (or €0 if you used only a free trial).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case, those limitations apply only to the extent permitted. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
9. Violations
- If you violate these terms (including use on prohibited servers, license sharing, reverse engineering, or payment fraud), we may suspend or terminate access immediately without refund.
10. Privacy & account deletion
Processing of personal data is described in our Privacy policy. By using Opus you also acknowledge that policy.
- You may download your data or permanently delete your account from Account, or by contacting privacy@opusbot.net.
- Deleting your account ends your license immediately. Anonymized payment records may be retained for bookkeeping. Unused paid time is not refunded solely because you delete your account, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Sweden shall have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to courts in your country of residence.
